Our mission and vision
Health systems worldwide are under increasing strain from rising chronic diseases, aging populations and persistent health inequities,and decisions are made without sufficient understanding of real lived experiences.
Recognizing this gap, global leaders are increasingly rallying behind stronger, more inclusive governance, ensuring communities and civil society co-shape healthcare policies. Today we find ourselves at a time when the potential for change has never been greater – or more needed.

Our Journey:
From Conversation to Movement
Patient advocates and leaders at PEOF Barcelona called for a stronger patient movement towards achieving sustainable impact in health system decision-making
During PEOF 2023 & 2024 in Baveno, these ideas evolved into the Patient Movement Catalyst (PMC) a global initiative to drive patient-led change.
In May 2024, the WHO resolution on social participation marked a historic shift by unanimously calling for inclusive governance and participation in the design and delivery of healthcare.
PMC champions co-authored a BMJ editorial, reinforcing the need for real-world action.
Today we find ourselves at a time when the potential for change has never been greater. Our next step? Ensuring global implementation of patient-driven health partnership.
